Pete (vltn3) UPDATE - 20/01/06
 

Visited Pete this evening (along with a few others - see pic below) & I'm pleased to be able to report that he's doing good !! :D \:D/ :D

The doctors are pleased with the way he's progressing & the skin graft appears to have taken really well. :D

The bandaging & cast has been removed from his right hand - just leaving the 2 fingers taped together - the plan is to re-set the fingers early next week.

The cast has also been removed from his leg just leaving heavy bandaging - according to Pete it looks like "a shark has taken a serious lump out of the inside of his leg a few inches below the knee to somewhere near mid-thigh". :shock:

Pete said to pass on his thanks to you all for all the posts & pm's wishing him well etc.

He's obviously still experiencing severe discomfort / pain but he is now allowed out of bed - only as far as his chair (with his leg supported naturally!!) & only when the physio is present to keep an eye on him - but hey, I think that's pretty good going after a week !! =D>

More updates will be posted as we get the information.

It's definately good that he's mobile so wquickly, even if limited...Going to be a bit of a bu**er getting about with both a knackered leg and hand, mind... Glad to hear some good news.

Sorry to hear what has happened! Both myself and RobSV have been away for the last week so didn't see the posts.

I am sure he would agree with me in sending Pete my best wishes and hoping that he gets better soon. I am only glad that Mac was following him so that at least he had some friends with him
