Crash protectors

I want to put crash protectors on my pointy shape sv with fairing lowers, what i want to know is have any of you put muchrooms on which screw in to the bracket which comes with the fairing lowers? My other question is, do you think that bracket will support the weight of the bike in a fall? any advice would be great.

Personally I would have said that the bracket wont take the weight of the bike and it'll bend / break.

What IMHO you want is a pair of R & G's they make them for a pointy with lowers on job done

Seems that bracket is prone on bending back in many cases and i opted for the R&G set up as it has a long double ended bolt that replaces the one running through the engine and to this is attached a real strong bracket that has 2 mounting points. The mushrooms then attach to this and looks solid

have a search here and youll find loads about this,

the oem suzuki bungs which mount to the fairnig brackets are less then useless, get the new ones that r+g do, the bracket on those looks like it could tow a small train
