Tick over problem

Any one got on ideas or guidance.?

The bike starts up and ticks over at about 1500 revs. The idle adjustment is fully out and the throttle control appears to have full range of motion.

When the engine has warmed through the tickover creeps up to be about 3000 rpm when the engine has reached full temp.

Anything spring to peoples mind?

I have checked throttle movement and had a nose at the carb but not really got hard into it. Thought I would seek advice before I charge in

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm.........nice one. stumped. But I think your getting too much fuel when it warms through. SO.......loose something flowing fuel when expanded........Mmmmmmmm.....jets loose? Interesting...

Check your choke cables/plungers. I had one working and one stuck. Similar symptoms to those you describe. Other than that, drain float bowls (could have crud in there), check carb/inlet rubber/cylinder head joints. Check the little balance stubs on the carbs have rubber caps on. Have a look at your vaccuum pipe to the petcock too!

Good luck in fixing it.

Anybody know why my bike's not charging? :(

Regards

Rich

I think Richwill is spot on with the vacuum leak... Is it stable at 3000 or erratic?
