Aprilia back to WSB ??
Picked this up from the web......
Aprilia CEO Leo Mercanti has confirmed that Aprilia company will return to World Superbike in 2007 with an ALL NEW MODEL. ""based on previous racing experience". The ""highly sophisticated"" bike will be powered by a 90-degree 1000cc V-Four currently in development.
A new generation of 90-degree V-Twins is also under consideration, engine sizess ranging from 850 to 1200cc which will replace the current 60-degree units. There is still a possibility that the 77-degree 450cc V-Twin that powers the SXV and RXV might give life to an ultra lightweight sportbike.
If it's going to be in WSB then it should be a production bike*, a new litre class machine to give the current IL4's a true run for their mony perhaps ?
(* OK, I know not everybody's got an FP1, but you know what I mean)
