Plastic Welding Company
I had a little accident about 5 months ago involving a car, break lights and the tarmac.
The fairing on my bike was cracked and scuffed, I got a quote from the Bike Medic in Swindon, he said it would cost £250.00 for the two panels  The top panel had a nasty crack in it, the bottom was scuffed. I said OK, and went about saving for the work to be carried out. I phoned him on Saturday and was told he had gone out of business, a little dis-heartened I managed to get hold of a number of a one man band company in Cirencester from baldyman. I took three panels to him, somehow my other top panel got a 5 inch crack, asked him what he would charge for the repair work, and to my utter amazement he said £166.00 and that included VAT. I was really shocked, when I explained I was quoted £250.00 for only two panels and I had to confirm he was going to plastic weld them and get them looking new again. Top bloke, by the name of Dennis, (Don't know his surname!) has run the business for 28 years in a village called Preston Nr Cirencester. Number: 01285 658 645 I would use him again for any work I needed carrying out. Cheers, Martin |
Make sure you can get in and out though :?
This guy can speak for England  |

A soldering iron only costs a fiver, a broken panel for welding "rods" is free ;) Is he respraying them for that price? I'm hardly a pro, but I could get those panels looking brand new from the outside (apart from paint), and near as tough as they were before the crack, pretty quickly. They'd be a little ugly from the back is all ;)
