Yes, they should be limited to driving at a maximum of 70mph. Then everyone could avoid being caught simply by driving at 80 or above :D

What I find most amazing about this, is the fact he managed 159 mph in a Vectra !

Personally I think it's a sad day - if highly trained police drivers can't drive at that speed in good conditions on a totally empty stretch of road, then how are they expected to safely pursue criminals when there's a genuine need to do so? We've had this argument before so I'm not going to bother reiterating what's been said previously.

However on a lighter note:

"The guidelines allow for officers to exceed limits, but never to drive at more than 120mph."

So... good reason to get a much faster bike then  .

Bought time they started putting a leesh on the police.

Yes they need to be able to drive at speed safely to catch criminals but they to use these speeds on public roads when not chasing criminals is just not safe,

It's not as if there aint anywhere for them to train out of our way[/quote]

well i am split.. if it had all gone wrong and he had injured kill sumone then maybee.. but like he said.. they train him to drive that fast and when he does they punish him...

i dunno... i think they should leave it alone imho he was found not guilty to start with....
