Led Indicators
Anyone used these? :
http://www.motrax.co.uk/Index_pages/.../ledarrows.htm Are they any good or are there better ones out there? They don't necessarily have to be LED, but I want them to be bright so they're easily visible, and with a clear / iridium lens. I have some Motrax Allycators on the front at the moment, which are great but they only come with amber lenses and i want clear ones all round (chavtastic! ) |
I had these, they were great :!:
I've still got a pair of the heafty resistors required to sort the flash-rate out too (if you need 'em :?:) |
Cheers Cloggsy, I'll get back to you on those resistors.

Motrax have not yet supplied anyone with the black short stem new type but they are supplying the long stem. The new type have grooves on back of the casing and the actual indicator is larger and has 3 more leds. To get round this i got short stem ones from J&S to go with my long stem new type motrax i have on the back. They do not have the grooves on the back but are otherwise similar to the new motrax type. Best bit is they have been mis priced at 12 quid a pair in the Watford branch!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did not see long stem versions at that store. They are equally as bright as the motrax and also have 18 leds per indicator

I had the motrax ones, and most of the LED's packed up after about 8 months. I now have some LED items supplied by Powerbronze. They look better contstucted than the Motrax, and are slightly bigger. Cheaper too :D

I bought some Arrowhead style LED indicators off E-bay for the rear. Identical looking to Motrax ones. With the first indicator the head came away from the stem. They sent a replacement, then water got in down the stem and although they continued to work the lens was discoloured and dimmed the output.
I now have small bulb indicators. Think they have halogen bulbs. Anyway, very bright and no resistors needed to get the flash rate correct. Nicer looking than the leds too IMO |
