Anyone done Bikesafe with naughty exhaust?
I want to book myself on a bike safe course with the old Popo...
...and in all honesty, smack my bottom and all that (im not here for a moral condemning, i just havent sorted it out yet) the bike is not restricted in to 33bhp as it should be and its running a naughty Art can, will the cops get arsey about this/notice this or is the focus of the day on rider safety, as opposed to giving people a hard time about the legitamacy of their bikes. |
I think the general consensus is they turn a blind eye (deaf ear?) to loud cans. I'd not risk the unrestricted aspect though, personally.
|
I have definitely read people have done bikesafe with a naughty can. But have a wedge of moral comdemnation from me for your ILLEGAL riding in breach of licence conditions.
|
Naughty cans and dark visors are ok.

Did mine at the Ace Cafe - no problems
They will check your bike over to make sure it's 'road legal' - I guess that means brakes, tyre tread, road tax disc etc. I had a small plate as well :-dd |
I cant justify a 150 quid spend for anothter 6 months arsing about on the bike. Do they check your lisense and all that cack? How different is the SV low end wise with the 33bhp kit? Theres no real way of them telling is there...

Yes mate, did bikesafe with a really noisy double exit blueflame on my SV.
The instructor who was breifing us just said 'Does anyone have a race can on' Me and a couple of others raised our hands. 'Consider this a bollocking.' That was the end of it. The bike cops know the score, they're decent fellas. You'll have fun matey! |
and I had mine derestricted, though I was 17.
They didnt notice, all he said was 'It really goes for a restricted bike doesnt it? We wouldnt be able to tell if it wasnt' |
