Cheap Curvy SV650S wanted - damged/high mileage ok
What you got?
Ideally should have MOT or be in a fairly MOT'ble state. However I'm not too bothered by cosmetic damage. High mileage isn't too much of an issue if the price is right and everything is running right. Maintenance, such as bearings needing replacing etc I'm probably ok about - providing I know in advance. I'm in Reading, but do have van and can travel . Cash waiting. Also, could possibly be interested in a complete right off/engine damaged bike with an ok front end (need a spare yoke/forks/wheel spindle, which would have to be in ok condition) - as well as a few other bits. |

I 've got 47,000 miler that I'm selling. Bought a mint 1200 miler. In the process of swapping over the bodywork and wheels as new bike is yellow and old one is blue, and we want to keep all our trick bits and powder coated wheels. So it will have as new bodywork and tank plus wheels. Nowt wrong with the old un just this low mileage one came up at a good price.
Bike is mechanically fine. How much were you thinking of paying.? Pete |
Liz has a Candy Grand blue X raked Naked.
It needs a front brake lever for MOT and it also needs tax, It could do with a new front mudguard as well as its cracked, we have a replacement mudguard it just needs painting. If you PM me your email address I can send you some pictures. Its got 30K on it, service history up to 23K, its got a few extras on it, two newish BT020's and a new chain and sprocket Is that the sort of thing you're after ? |
Yea, that's the sort of thing I'm interested in.
As an idea of the sort of prices I'm looking at, I've found a 99 S model with 22k miles that needs the following, offered at £900: Battery Brake lever Pillion seat and grab handle Cosmetic touch up (probably going to get painted in my race colours anyway :) ) Now it's from a dealers, which puts me off to be honest; having seen enough dodgy dealers. They say they were going to do it up, but are moving and don't have the space/time now. Would prefer a faired bike, but not too big an issue. chunkytfg: How bent are they? How much do you want for it - this is going to be for a combined push bike/motorbike project, so not too bothered as I may even take the internals out to make it lighter (I'm going for a push bike with motorbike wheels, fairings etc, but no engine!) |
I have a 02 sv650s, all black, comes all fairings, aftermarket lowers, renegade carbon can, front indicators are now relocated onto new aftermarket mirrors, double bubble translucent screen, carbon fibre look brake an clutch levers, new harris racing handlebar grips, mushrooms, silver stainless steel bar ends (looks great on black sv).
Only problem with it is the gear lever is snapped off due to low speed drop, but everything is repaired (tank, fairings, etc etc) and has just been sprayed again. Runs nice and the exhaust makes it sound like a V8 supercharged machine. Let me know how much you want to offer if you like the sound of this machine. |
Suspect you'll be wanting a bit more than I'm looking at paying.
How many miles? When was the last service done? Any tax or mot? Where are you located? I'm going to be looking at this £900 bike tomorrow - someone offer me a cheap bike quick before I buy from a dealer! |

Cheers, PM sent.
Still looking as the one I was going to look at sold an hour or so before I was going to get there, it seems :(. |
Bad luck on the one you were gonna view.
Mines MOT'd until July. If the bodywork is too good you could always flog it on or swap it for bits maybe? Pm me with your best offer if you like. Pete |
