My Faired SVS K5
Fitted my lower fairing kit and seat cowl today. The fairing was a pain because when you tighten up the brackets they have a habit of moving...
Next mod might be an exhaust come the summer. Can't believe how good they look with the lower fairing and cowl. I can't afford to insure a sports bike so I am chuffed as to how sporty an SV looks for a budget bike. http://upload2.postimage.org/111402/FairedSV650SK5.jpg |
Yeah they def help to finish it off nice, you need to get rid of the snow shovel on the back though for a hamicad.
Looking good matey. |
Looking spot on mate! I have lowers on my k5 too... I went for an ermax undertray and it really made the difference!

Nice one mate.
A set of R&G bungs will help protect those in the event of laying it down or worse. Garry  |
Hamicad hmmm yes hear what you are saying and totally agree but exactly how much work is involved in fitting? What do you have to do exactly?

Buy one & follow the full instructions included, it's that easy.
Remove both seats, rear bodywork & snow shovel, fit hamicad & other bits in reverse order. Should be done & dusted in about an hour tops. |
Nice bike!
Lol, you bought a budget bike but now will spend £££ on the mods. |
Just seen the instructions on the hamicad website! Looks scary! Yeah true about the cost issue. With the fairings, cowl, exhaust and hamicad I would have spent the difference in insurance between the SV and the GSXR600. I so detest all these chavs that mod their cars and yet I am in danger of emulating them.
Might leave the bike as is because it is technically still standard or just get the exhaust but that depends on what the insurance says. I gotta ring them to declare the fairings and cowl and will ask them what an exhaust will do to my premium. |
