The size of the hole on the yolk?
Not being very articulate here (english not being my main language, i do appologize).
So, to the question in hand: I am going to fit a holder for my gps on my handlebars (yolk i think it's called? isn't that the inside of an egg?). I need to get a screw that will fit the hole, anyone know the size of this (i did a site search but didn't find anything, and not being able to forumalte a proper search query doesn't help). I nicked a picture of this site to display what i mean. http://www.ascii.se/yolk.jpg Cheers! 127.0.0.1 |
The hole measures 8 mm on my K3, and it looks the same on a neighboring curvy, but it's not threaded and there insufficiant thickness to put one in.
Good Luck with it. |
it really doesn't matter as the hole is only for the bottom end of the tank prop, I'd suggest perhaps one of the larger "tophap" type nut (captured in rubber, normally for fairings) would work pushed through then spreads on tightening.
Cheers Mark. |

Thank you all for your replies.
A nut and bolt it became. And i got an excuse to buy a new drill! :D Just a few minor tweaks, like filing down the head of the bolt just a tad bit, and then im all done! Besides for the drill, the whole projekt cost me about 15 quid for a gps holder! |
