removing baffle remus

having ridden behind LeighRS up the m4 and being drowned by the noise of his twin exit scorpion, i realise that my remus revolution is waaaaay too quiet with the baffle in.

bit of a silly question perhaps, but is the removable baffle removed just by undoing the nut and pulling it out, or do i have to take the can off and get all technical with it?

thanks

It's a Blue Flame mate

Not technical at all mate, just undo the nut and pul it out.

My oldman did it with his when he had an SV and the remus sounds nice with it out

The Remus sounds 100 times better with out the baffle. I was a bit dissapointed with my Remus when i first had it fitted it was so quiet, that was until i got home and took the baffle out now i'm pleased to say it has been known to drown out Fizz's blue flame.
Get that baffle out, mine was rivetted in but easily drilled out.

Mine sounds so much better now without the baffle. I was surprised actually, because it's not that much louder, just way more bassy. Definately more noticeable though.

I just drilled out the rivet and pulled the baffle out with some pliers. It can take a bit of effort, but it will come! It is easily reinstalled and should come with a screw to make it even easier.

thanks for the encouragement!

i'm .. ahem .. "working from home" today so could have a crack at this. do i need a special drill/bit?

and thinking in advance here ...... do scratches from poor drilling skills polish out?

You inspired me - am also working from home today. I had a steel drill bit (as in for drilling through steel). Sounds great though - worried about the neighbours now  .

Hmm, well tempted to drill mine out now after reading all these comments!

Just take easy. Start with a small bit up through the middle and built to one the same width as the rivet and bingo!

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm------------ o yessssssssss 8)

drilled the rivet, started the engine, pulled out the baffle and revelled in the noise. already had one neighbour having a peep out of the window.
