front end swap
It will fall straight in but you do need it all the complete front end, what do you entend to do about the speedo if you are using it on the road?

There's a guy on SV Rider that makes a simple hall-effect magnet pickup kit for the K3> bikes, quite neat and tidy. Better'n the countershaft pickup anyway.

Bit of a cheek from SVRS there, it's a good kit but the prices are very high- the original kit offered through SV Rider (not by them) was around the $40 mark.

yep it fits right on in --SUUURE --
Dont get me wrong compared to a lot of other front end swapps its a doddle but it aint a simple bolt on. If you have yaself a thou front end start out by fitting up the triple clamps -I'm pretty sure the steering stops wont line up so youll have to figure out some new ones.--I drilled the lower clamp and used cap screws to act as stops--if you don't then a tank slapper will get pretty painfull. I'm using TL thou handlebars because theyre higher than the gixxer bars and clear the fairing. If it was me Id strip the forks out and get em rebuilt -- I went down to 095 springs and 15 weight oil. |
how much would you guys at jhs charge for this? and how much is it for a titanium leovance system for a k4?
