I'd say it all depends on why you want to move on from the SV. What's it lacking for you?

Do you want to faired or naked? (Don't know what you have at the moment.)

More touring or less distance & more sport?

Simply more power overall or just at the top end?

Good choice. The big Triumph engines feels a bit like an SV with an extra cylinder. I haven't ridden a 675 so can't comment on that.

Or else a bigger V-twin (e.g. Falco, Tuono, Harley :D)

Oh now you've started something (can full of earth crawlers opening).

What takes your fancy? all bikes have their own merits (although some are harder to see than others), so I'd suggest aim for the stars (as in look at what you want), then temper that with practicality (what you can afford or insure).

At the end of the day, we can only pass on what other types are like (if you've lived with it that is) or what we would have if we could.

Cheers Mark.

i have an SV650 naked, want somthing with a bit less brunt and smoother, you can never have enough speed but would rather look towards somthing i can control,

Will go for faired this time, tried the naked and the riding position is just not right for me.
