MotoGP Assen

GregK2's post got me thinking... me and a mate are going to assen to watch the GP in June. we're planning to go thursday back on sunday, the race being on the saturday.

has anyone done this before? we're intending to camp - any hints tips etc on what to do/expect etc welcome

should be a good value trip - £60 for weekend ticket, £42 for the ferry.

Can't help with your question (race virgin me), but glad to have made someone think something other than "who is that idiot & what is he doing?"...... #-o

Went in 2003. Did the camping, very noisy but fun. You can walk or ride to the track, walking is better as you have to wait a long time to get your bike out after the race and campsites are not far from race track. Also the Friday night before race day, Assen town centre gets closed off and everyone has a massive party with bands beer etc. this is a definite must. Above all Enjoy!!!!!!!!!

Hi
You don't need to book for camping, you pay when you get there

My brother goes every year to Assen and stays in a local hotel, they run them to the circuit after the night festivities in the town :P

I have just started work for a Dutch company who have a depot quite close to Assen, I may go in the truck and sleep in that :D
