Too late to stop him slapping even more on our council tax though. He was a d*ckh**d in the GLC and is still one now.

He walked through the arricals lounge(if you can call it that) at Heathrow on Wednesday evening. He didnt get that nicer reception! We should have all bundled him and given him a good shoeing

"Elected politicians should only be able to be removed by the voters or for breaking the law. Three members of a body that no one has ever elected should not be allowed to overturn the votes of millions of Londoners."

He does have a point with his argument though.

How can a panel of people that no one elected into power, kick someone out of office, if only for a short while? It should be down to the voters to remove Ken. A show of no confidence for example.

Doesn't really amount to much though, does it? I mean, he gets a holiday for a month and then its back to normal.

Normal great, more bendy buses, higher taxes, more quangos. Maybe one day he'll realise that people south of the river pay for him as well

A politician suffers at the hands of the beaurocratic machine he's (partly) responsible for. Hurrah!

Not a fan of Ken myself but in this circumstance i think its ridiculous that he is even held accountable for a comment like this.

I think its totally acceptable to use the analogy he did as its a fair and valid one. After all it was the defence the german soldiers and officers used to justify what morally they should not have done. But what choice did they have (as any serving member of any armed forces has) very little. Obey your orders or get out at best, be executed for treason at worst.

The journo was doing his job, regadless of agreeing with it and thats what Ken said in his analogy. If i make an anaology about something involving an animal should i be held accountabloe cos the person i said it to had their pet run over that day and it upset them?

FREEDOM OF SPEECH ISSUE AGAIN ANYONE??
