Popping

Hello

During the last three rides on my bike, I have noticed a slight popping sound. When I stop, and rev to about 4000 rpm, I can hear the odd subtle pop coming from around the front of the bike. It is not interfering with the revving I don't think, so any ideas what it is? Fuel exploding in the exhaust pipe at the front? Its been very cold here recently. Bike is a pointy unfaired K3.

Thank you!

Hmmm, apparently its a valve, and its supposed to sound like that. Although why it hasn't been sounding like that until the last 3 days is a mystery to me...

Wish I had more! I needed a new tarpaulin (my old Motrax one blew itself apart in the wind over the weekend!) so I was at the bike shop. A mechanic took it out for a ride. Just said it was a valve and nothing to worry about. So thats all I know about it. Now it was a bit warmer today, and I had given the bike a ride for about 10 miles and I didn't notice it. Have to admit I do a fair few journeys of under 2 miles cos I live near my work, which can't be helping it.

What other info would you like? It is only a VERY subtle popping, I only noticed it cos of my finely tuned ears due to being a musician hahaha
