Grim drive in.

I came across a horrible accident this morning.
The first thing I saw was a cop car parked out in the road at a wierd angle, and I thought he was doing speedo work, since that junction is fast and dangerous. Then I saw a pile of clothes on the middle of the road.

And, then I realised that it wasnt just a pile of clothes, and it was a person. My brain sort of knew, but its only now i am really accepting it. I looked away as soon as I could. I was thinking maybe it was a dog (dressed in clothes???) It was so small and broken looking. I drove in fine, but once I arrived, and got out of my leathers... then I started shivering a bit.

No one was even looking at it, no-one was doing CPR, it was just there. A kid maybe.

Anyway. I should try and finish my programming.

Be safe amigos.

You come across an accident every once in a while and sometimes there's a death. The chances are everything that could have been done had been. Best not to dwell on it.

My thoughts go out to whoever was involved.

Although its never good to see an accident, sometimes, im thankfull for it.

After a while of doing the same trip, you tend to start to ride a little quicker. ASeeing a serious accident can be a reminder of what can happen, and re-ajusts my thoughts as to things that could happen...

i.e, i had to stamp on the brakes hard today as a lorry cut me up. I wasn't going fast, i was plodding alond, but i locked the front wheel up, and really wasn't expecting it to happen, but it did. I rode slower all the way in, and will be riding slower on the way home.

As with most things, it takes an incident or accident to happen before anyone ever does anything about it.....

Oh right. I will just get that **** sorted out then.

I just saw the corpse of a child on the road, and it upset me a little bit. That's allowed pal. That's considered normal as far as I know.

:?   :?

Not too sure what being 'tough' has to do with being affected by seeing a potential fatality.

I agree that death does occur everyday, however it affects different people in different ways.

If you come across a death and it does not affect you in someway, then I don't know whether to be jealous or to pity you.

Now that I have had a chance to think about it, actually I pity you . Seeing/hearing about deaths reminds me of my own mortality and makes me think about what I am doing.

Do not want or need your pity. Some can accept death much easier than others. Like i said it is part of life and i just find it easy to distance myself from such an accident unless it is a friend or familly member. I am not cold in any way and can not explain why i am that way....i just accept it

Do not want or need your pity - fair enough - I won't waste it on you then. Some can accept death much easier than others. I am not cold in any way and can not explain why i am that way....i just accept it - and likewise I think you should also accept that not everyone feels this way - telling them to toughen up is a bit harsh IMHO
