Power loss?
Hi,
Suffering weird problem with my curvy - it's pulls away fine, but there's no power when I open the throttle more than about 1/2 way. Maybe a fueling problem? It idles fine, and rev's freely in neutral so I don't think it's carb icing. Bike has just been serviced so it's got new fuel filter etc Any ideas? I've no idea what to look for |

Or could be an airlock in the new fuel filter. else sounds like a CDI issue. Does the bike do this in all gears or just 2nd and 3rd? |
Did you post on here and BCF at the same time?
I'm trying to build up a database in my head of who posts both here and BCF, I usually get confused between the two if it's by the same person and I end up reposting stuff on the same forum. |

Thanks for your help by the way |
Yep, Check for trapped pipe and cable work, check the leads to the battery, coils and plug caps are on tight.

Have you had a chance to lok at the drain screws yet? It was happening to me again this morning.

Off the top of my head, I'd say airbox, not fitted properly, you got an air leak.
However it could be any number of things, (did you test it when you picked it up after the service?) I've known the scotoiler vaccum to be taken off the fuel tape leading to fuel starvation cause it,choke plunger stuck, carb vaccum hole plug missing, or have you upgraded the air filter? (stick in a race filter without anything else being done and that's the same). Of course could also be electrical, but that's easy to check. Have fun . Cheers Mark. |
