does anyone make decent tailtidys, huggers, etc

from what i read on here, the ermax tail tidys are ****e, seems alot of other comapnies ones are to, screens dont seem to fit, and the list goes on

is there a good company that makes a good tail tidy, )i heardd suzuki do there own) but apart from them?

and a good screen company?

IMO, Powerbronze and Fabri are the 2 best screen makers. I have fitted both, as well as others.

If its a curvey, then the Suzuki replacement undertrays are good. No cutting required. All the other undertrays are all as good as eachother. Just stay awat from Powerbronzes painted stuff. The paint just seems to flake off.

I have a Freestreet Designs undertray on my sv and before i sprayed the bike, it was all still in pretty good nick, even after i took my hugger off

Undertray or tail tidy :?:

If it's a tail tidy (aka fender eliminator) - try Hamicad - http://www.hamicad.co.uk/SV_Fender.html

cheers

um whats the difference, dont they both get rid of the snow plogh on the back?

Mr Toad 06-03-06 12:41 PM

Probably

I have always understood an undertray to be a 'bigger' item that changes the look of the bike underneath the pillion seat, for example is colour coded to look like the rest of the bike, rather than the black finish that is currently on offer.

A tail tidy I alway thought of as just a smaller number plate hanger

Just to confuse things even more, some undertrays have plate hangers, and some don't

right i completly understand lol,

ok what do i need, just want to get rid of the plogh on the back, and have no implications, ie i hear about undertrays getting smashed, and something bout ****ing up the battery box etc,

What sort of SV do you have ? is it a curvy 99 - 02 or a pointy K3 onwards ?

james160987 06-03-06 10:32 PM

pointy

I think then your best option is a Hamicad Fender Eliminator, that'll get rid of the snow shovel but it doesnt involve any sawing or modifying any of the original bodywork

have a look on ebay or do a google for it
