It's been a good week

Got the value back from the insurance company for the bike.
£3,000 for a bike with 20,000 miles, however I have lost the Ohlins and the nice powder coated wheels.
However I am moving on to a Z1000.
I had another nice phone call today, I was involved in a hit and run in April 2003. This happened when a guy doing a job came out and took me and the bike out whilst riding back from the Oakdene.
Therfore the claim has been going through an uninsured government agency, ie MIB. This has taken 3 years so far!!!!!!!!
They have finally agreed to pay out some money,
Value for all my gear, out of work, and injures was £1850!!!! :D for me and £1,400 for my pillion :D . Plus the bike was paid out on fully comp insurance.

So the z1000 bike fund has welled to £4,800, :D :D :D without a claim for my gear etc for this latest accident. So this could be between £2,000 and £3,000.
At this rate I could get a brand new 999 duke  .
LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL

Test ride is planned for Saturday, so will let you guys know what I think, just can't wait for the money to come and get out buying.
Trouble is as more and more money turns up, you just start thinking.......
GSXR 1000,New shape Triumph Sprint, cb 125
Although been looking at the idea of getting a £1,000 cb 500, as a winter commuter and then getting a £4,500 Z1000 for the odd Selkent ride out and summer commute
Let's hope it's not raining Saturday.
TSM have you got a claim going through, cause I have found a guy that is brillant. He works for bodyshop management services.
He took my bike away the next day and I had a brand new Fazer, as a loan bike, hasn't cost me nothing, a he manages the totall claim. Even though I was 3rd party, they take on the claim on a no win no fee bases. I have a couple of his cards if anyone is interested in his services, and as he rides a bike, he wants to get the most cash from the 3rd party as he can.

Thanks for making our insurance go up.

I bet that you are still wearing the same gear that you crashed in the 1st time?

Just dont go moaning when your insurance is through the roof.!

sexysi 09-03-06 12:26 AM

No No NO cause i'm not wearing the same leathers. I work for the Police I would never break the law.
Actually my insurance has gone down. The last 3 accidents were not my fault, and I have now almost 3 years no claims. I have been quoted for the Z1000 full comp £400 or 3rd party £181. Seems ok
