R&G bar end question
 

Just bought some R&G bar ends for a K3. When I tried to fit them the bolt that came out is about 3" long, where as the R&G bolt is just over an inch long and stand no chance of reaching the thread.

Could they have sent me the wrong bolts? Could my clip ons not be OEM?

Figure this one out, for those who may have similar issues.

There is a spacer and a rubber bung at the end of the bar. If you pull this out and then use the old bolt to screw into the nut very slightly, you can pull it towards the end of the bar. When it is close enough, you can screw the shorter bolt directly into this.

Not exactly rocket science, but enough to drive you crazy!
