In the age of the super highway...

you'd expect a quicker response.

Have you ever experienced wed sites that offer an E-mail contact address and when you use it never receive a response?

Out of good citizenship I reported a very large (and now multiple) pothole on the main road at the junction of my street and the main road to the local council via the "contact us" address.

Have they even acknowledged the E-mail 5 days later. No...

Makes your blood boil. Maybe its time to vent my spleen on the phone. Not that it will make any difference other than to make me feel better. :-)

Want a quick reply?

Send another email starting with "Further to my email notifying you of the pothole in x road...." continue it with "I very nearly had an accident earlier this evening. I therefore request that urgent attention is given to this matter before I, or someone else, incurs an injury due to your negligence in fixing a notified pothole"

Continue with various mentioning of legal action and pursuing claims should you be injured.

Bet it works.

I used the 'book your service online' form on by bike dealers web site last week. It said, "We will contact you within 12 hours to confirm your booking". A week later - nothing. I was tempted to book the bike in somewhere else, but decided to phone them instead.
