Another Man down :-(

Yup, on my home last night on the A2. Traffic flow doing about 35-40mph, im doing about 45-50 on a 3 lane dual carrageway. Car pulls from lane 2 into lane 3 (he did indicate, but imo left it too late), I was filtering between lanes 2-3. I reacted too quickly on the front brakes while trying to move right, front end went straight down and off I rolled and bounced down the road.

Very very lucky really, all the traffic managed to stop and miss me, and where the front dropped an slid its caused mostly cosmetic damage to the bike. Fairing top and bottom has been scratched and smashed, exhaust (excuse to get a nice one now) is ground down, indicators, brake levers both front and rear etc. My back is very sore but im walking.

More cheesed off the fact that my riding gear has been trashed, but, on the plus side, its really saved the vital areas and the padding/material done very well. Pain in the ass having to buy new jacket adn trousers yet again, but in effect im very lucky and have remained looking at the positives.

My first proper accident on a proper bike, gutted, but happy to be in 1 peice still. This was by the gravesend junction at the bottom of the hill past Bluewater (Sorry if you got caught in the traffic).

Take it easy out there.

Always sorry to hear this but your not the first, and fortuneatly it sounds like it wasn't to bad.

No matter what age you are it always hurts more the following day (but you just wait until your an old git like me  ).

Got a couple of standard exhausts kicking about if you're stuck :?:

Cheers Mark.

Ouch. Bad luck dude. Any accident that you can get up an walk away from is good.

As said, bikes parts can be brought, jackets replaced, body parts....well, they are a little harder to come by.
