Raising handlebars?
Hi. Can anyone tell me if I can raise my handlebars on my K3? I have short arms and it is a bit of a killer on my back and shoulders after a while....:( I've just joined the site so hi to all.

Hello and welcome.
Search for topics with "sunrisers" in, this is a particular make which I have read good things about. I am sure someone will be along shortly who's actually done it. |
Thanks Rog. Will have a look.

Yeah, I've fitted a SunRiser clipops to my sv650s K3 model and TBH it was quite easy, apart from fiddling around with the throttle cable. No longer cables are needed. It does make riding the bike less stressfull on the old wrists and back and she seems to handle just as well if not better than with the standard bars.
I ordered mine and paid by PAYPAL and I had the bars back within two weeks. Go ahead, or checkout the latest DEMON TWEEKS catalogue as there's some other make of clipons which also give you an inch or two lift, but they're about 25quid dearer plus postage. The SunRisers costs about 100quid including p&p |
Try banditmania as they do a raised clip on for the sv.

the banditmania bars raise the height by one inch i was thinking of getting some but would an inch make a difference yes yes i know everyone would like an inch rise but i cant think of any way to write this without making someone snigger

Have to absolutely agree that the Sun clip ons are the best way to go, I've had mine since last summer and cannot praise them enough, :D ,PLUS they raise the bars up by approx one and a half inches and you can adjust them fore and aft BEFORE you glue them in place. Not forgetting that they can be adjusted inwards or outwards to suit your own needs..... :D

Thanks for the advice peeps! I shall have a go....
