Help make St Georges day a public holiday for next year. Extra day off work...who can argue with that :lol:

Unfortunatly i can't see this working. This website was live about 2 years ago. I've voted countless times, but nothing seems to ever be done about it.

Reckon someones started that site for a laugh and probably forgot about it by now lol.

Hmm, they're talking about making St Andrew's Day a holiday in Scotland too... That seems to be getting some real support. So if we get ours, yours is likely to follow I suppose.

and St David's Day for us, but the plan is to move an existing Bank Holiday I think.

Yeah, just produced a play that says exactly the same thing.

I quote from it "Of course National Identity is not an antique. Because we've flogged it all for what ever's in this year. Ethnic throws or an Ikea sofa, that's all we're meant to fight for these days"


Damn good play too, it's been commissioned into the West End in May.
