Anyone know which tyres are best on a Speed 4?

My bro has got a Speed 4 and needs some new rubber, I looked through the "Tyres" section on the site, but then realised those posts were put up by SV owners, so thought it might not be quite the same and I was hoping perhaps some of you Trumpet / 600 IL4 owners might be able to give some pointers?

What he's after is a set of decent tyres, but not out and out sports tyres, more like sports touring tyres so he gets decent wear out of them. Uses his bike for commuting mainly, but does plenty of social riding. I would describe his riding style as quite aggressive.

Cheers

Jase

Kind of, but what I mean he's after a set of tyres that won't be wearing out after about 2,000 miles.

Cut down on the aggressiveness then!

Only half-joking, I see your point.

well havent tried them myself but Performance Bike mag wont stop ranting about the Pirelli Diablo Stradas, was thinking of them for later this year for my own machine, in place of the current BT-20's I got.

Seems a good recomendation, considering their view of biking is that anything less then 100mph is "idling"

If he's after a good sports/touring tyre then the Metz Z6 is getting soms excellent ratings. I havd them on the SV and I really liked um, much better than the 020's IMHO.

I advised him against the 020 too after having them on my SV, I just didn't like them.
