In line fuel filters?

Do they work? Will it affect performance? Can i get one that stops the fuel flow when I disconnect the 2 halves?

I've not seen them, but you can get isolation valves that separate. Just put one in below the filter and you'll have no mess.

I had one fitted to my curvey, wouldn't recomend it.

As there is not much room under the tank where it was mounted it caused the line to get snaged and eventually split, resulting in a interesting moment as my bike almost caught fire

However that was an in line filter and was quite bulky, I belive the type that allow for a quick split of the hose is smaller so may fit a little better.

Either way the fuel is taken from the tank via a pump so if you disconect the pipe with the engine off all that will come out is a little petrol that is left in the pipe.
