gear box oil? mix? car?
 
what gear box oil can i use on my curvy sv? and is it ok to use car oil?


also can i mix different ones?

Isn't the gearbox in the sump oil?

You can mix and match, but you only want to use oil that meets the JASO MA standard, and is it API SG? Means they won't cause your clutch to slip. Very few if any car oils have this, practically all bike oils do.

API SG is just an oil API standard, not a specific motocycle oil. (the second letter goes up with each revision and we're now at API SM). An SG oil probably won't contain much in the way of friction modifiers (which cause the clutch problems), if any, because they don't have a high fuel economy test limit.
