Giggling in yer lid.

I went out for a blast yesterday with a mate. Well with the weather like it was, it had to be taken advantage of. 8)

Anyway, there's a particularly nice set of bends on the route and doing them once was not enough so I peeled off into a carpark and waited for some traffic to pass the exit. The next bit I wasn't quite prepared for.

The exit leads onto a steep uphill towards the twisties again. I gave it a handful of throttle, not much more than usual. Before I knew it a crossed up wheelie was underway and some poor tourist heading towards me in a Fiat Sciento got a rude view of the underside of an SV. Snicked it from second to third and she dropped the nose with a slight waggle of the bars.

I'm not a wheelie-merchant at all, any other time I've tried deliberately has resulted in a stupid lurching bunnyhop followed by crushed nuts so I just don't bother. But this had me giggling for a good twenty minutes or more.

Last year, on the way home from work on my old Honda H100 I accidentally launched into the air (both wheels ) going over a humpback bridge - frightened me to death, but it had me giggling for hours

I did that on one of the Pennine Massive rides last year over a slight hump....Captain Nemo warned us of them beforehand but said the first was most severe.....obviously he was wrong  I went over first and then sped up slightly for second as it wasn't as bad....Got a good 2ft air under BOTH wheels before tank Vs. Private interface on touch-down   That definately slowed me down for a while

Is that biking Karma or summit, Haggis?

Doesn't happen very often, but when it does ....it is special. Reminds you why bikes are feckin' great. 8)

Get a Firestorm. This is an everyday occurrence!!   :D

I took one for a half hour test ride Nick but the road was wide sweepers and long straights. I didn't get that 'special' feeling from the 'Storm at all. It was deceptively stupid-fast though. Only £4k, 600m on the clock, but a Cat D. :(

Stramasher- it was definitely a Zen moment. :riding:

Nick, I think this might be about to become a regular occurance on my SV too. Damn, eh!

There isn't much pinning the front end down anymore, this much I've noticed plenty already despite only being out on it for a few hundered miles this year so far.

Yee-hah!!! Reap the whirlwind Haggis!!! Enjoy it
