Best first mod?
Hi All,
Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I did try a little search and came up empty... I have around £200 set aside and I'd like to hear your thoughts on what the best value for money mod is. I'd measure value for money in improved saftey, handling, performance and "smile-factor", with looks being the least important. Please vote for the ones I've listed and add your thoughts if you think I missed something. Terence |
Handlebars
forgot to add raising handlebars as an option...
|
Viper can and a set of springs and oil. Should cost you £200 all in
|
front springs & oil (£70), crash bungs (£80), anything left on a secondhand can.
Cheers Mark. |
Crash bungs! Definitely a first mod consideration.

Got to go with Rictus on this one

cool! This is great feedback guys (& gals)... keep it coming :)

Crash bungs all the way, no contest. You're never more likely to drop it than in your first miles, and you'll never be more gutted if you do either. Then it's just personal taste, I'd put on a can but then I'd want to spend a bit more and get a Remus or maybe a Renegade.

I agree about the crash protectors.
Then I'd forget all about a new can, etc, and put the money towards some advanced riding lessons, eg IAM. That's the best mod you can make to increase your enjoyment and safety...in my opinion. |
