Right! That's it!

Ok so hopefully most of you would have enjoyed last Saturday as it was pure biking weather so i went out for a solo blast round the twisties of cambridge. I went round this large round about (which was not busy at all) and round and round and round i went.....about 20 times ish trying to get me bloody knee down as this is supposedly the best way to do it......

still couldnt bloody do it although i did feel likle i was getting closer but my faith in the stock tyrs was putting me off a bit! Anyone done a knees down on the stock tyres or shall i just get my self some 020s or avon sports?

I cant do it either. Neither 020's, Z6's or the BT014's on my GSXR. I get so far lent over and I dont feel confident about pushing it that little further.

I think its more technique than lean angle though. I'm not hanging off properly. I dont think I corner any faster when I try though but I want to scrape my sliders.

I dont know how much further I want to push it on the road's I think I'm going to book me a track day.

Plenty of summer left dont want to bin it at the start of the season.

Perfectly possible on stock tyres, this might sound stupid but you probably can't do it because your trying. You need warm tyres as well

I starting trying to get my knee down by really trying, didn't work and nearly dropped the bike several times. Then i found a two nice quite roundabouts and just drove around the loop they made gradually increasing the lean angle by counter steering harder each time. My brother had the same problem as you he was getting the exhaust on his fazer down but couldn't get his knee down because he wasn't sitting off the saddle a bit.

Don't do the gorilla technique looks ridiculous, i find one cheek of the saddle is enough but i am 6 foot so i haven't got that far to go.

Doesn't make u any quicker though and make sure you have inspected the road surface before u try finding gravel/oil etc is bad news.
