SV Fairing Lowers
Hey
I want to know if the fairing bracket from a curvy SV would be able to be fitted to a pointy SV. I picked up some fairing lowers for my SV for £30  in great condition but it didnt come with the bracket to fix it. Suzuki are wanting £100+ for the bracket alone! Thanks! Dan |
Are you sure about the £100+?
The reason I ask is that they list this on their website: http://www.suzuki-gb.co.uk/partdetail.asp?id=249&m=24 That should be the full mounting kit as it comes all on a cardboard backing, and they have it listed at £69, I would make sure with Suzuki that it includes everything though and not just the brackets for the rubbish crash bungs that go through the fairings. Having said that the only bits you actually need off Suzuki if you can't get someone to make them for you are the brackets that sit below the pegs. The top of the fairings go on using thick double sided tape to attach it to the bottom of the top fairing, you then have screws on both sides going in to the bottom of the radiator through a spacer and the top hole on the fairings is where they slide behind the side of the top fairing where it screwed in place. The use R&G bungs through the fairing to protect your bike and secure it all in place instead of the rubbish brackets that Suzuki provide which allow their bungs to be mounted on. Curvys are different as far as I'm aware. |
so that bracket is for the lowest mountings?
I'll call suzuki tomorrow to find out about the installation kit. Thanks for your help Dan |
