Renthals - love them!!!
I don't want to write obvious things, but I have to share my new experience with somebody (you know this filing, don't you...)
Just fitted renthals (streetfighter style) today on my curvy naked. I could not believe the difference it made! Bike steers far quicker, is more flickable, far more stable on straight, huge improvement in stability in bends... Can actively countersteer with full feel at last. Not to mention that the bike seems to be roomier and more comfortable (wrist and back-wise). It just unbelievable, what difference can some different bend piece of metal can make! It is the most recommended mod to the bike. Most bang for the buck (quid?) I've ever spent on my baby. Completely transformed. PS did not check it on motorway though, I may be flapping like a sail :D |
sabestian, did the same on mine (i suffer with a bad back and wondered if i was doing the right thing). totally agree with you though, surprisingly fandubbytastic :D

I'd love to fit renthals to my S model. I've had them on a few previous bikes and they're the dogs danglies.

I used to think my riding technique was kinda wrong. Strangely on this bike only :? But after fitting Renthals I am way more confident on the road. Most of errors I used to make and couldn't get rid of are gone now! HIGHLY recommended!

Streetfighter (braced) Black 7/8" (22mm) Handlebar 789-02-BK bends, dimentions: http://streetfighters-usa.com/store/...ghter_bar.html Streetfighter model is less bent (more like something between dragbar and ultralows), I reckon. Nice relaxed position of my body, brought me a bit to the front of the bike without bending my back forward. Seems to be perfect.[img][/img]http://upload3.postimage.org/203879/top_renthal.jpg |
Still a little high for me, tried them before, an improvement, but not enough, I use superbike bars like this.
http://www.busters-accessories.co.uk...f/dragbars.jpg just about right for feel and comfort, but if you want ultimate feel try straight bars, it twists you wrists out a bit more and feels like you're holding the front wheel spindle (not recommended for winter riding, bit to extreme), can,t do any great distance with them but great in the twistys  Cheers Mark. |
