Restricting SV650S

Hey everyone,
Have just bought my new baby, 650S, but sadly im still restricted to 33BHP till im 21. I have been asking numerous people on different restrictor kits, and prices, and everyone keeps telling me something different.

If someone could tell me the best restrictor kit for a 650S and how much it would cost to buy it and have it installed, it'd be much appretiated.

Will get pics up ASAP

ok if its a pointy its a new cdi (or elcetronic box) simple plug and play very easy to do.

Curvy its either washers (like i had) in the carbs or throtle restriction, personally i like the carb restriction more...just...well just because...

It cost me £180 fitted with the paper to say all was legal...however there is great debate as to whether this paper is indeed need or not, after all as long as your machine complies to 33bhp then does it really matter if you have the paper saying so??

some insurance companies insist on it others dont...ask is your best bet...

i cant comment on the pointy restriction or the throttle turn restrictor as i havent seen then or used them...(i only know what i have read on here)

generally prices do vary....shop around basically.... you can get second hand restriction washers but as i say above, this can be dubious...and if you bike is a pointy doesnt apply, unless you by the restriction box second hand etc...

ok im rambling...hope i have helped...

Andy

edit: also where are you, fill it in on your profile, many people are on here and are willing to help with what they know! it could save you alot of hassle in the future, big bills and make you friends...

Thanks for your help Andy, I have a curvy 650, and the washers sound much better than the throtle restrictor. Will let you know how I get on
