on 1 cylinder?? asap anser plzz
 
hi guys an girls, i got a problem, went out in the rain last nite for a 15min run got to my destination and the bike went on to the rear cylinder was a fun ride back with the front one somtines fireing and julting me back and forth, this is the first time this has happend and ive been out in heavery rain than that b4,

i thaught by morning today it might have sorted itself out but i started it but the front only come it for like a second then cuts out and so on, also its backfireing loads is there any other way of fixing this with out taking the front plug out cos i dont have time b4 tesco shuts or shuld i risk it and hope it sorts its self out on the way? would this damage the bike?? cheers guys

o also when it stalls like it keeps doing cos it dosent idle on just the one thers a huge sucking in hissing sound

Clean out the drain hole of the frotn cylinder ht lead thing, unbolt the bottom of the rad and swing it out, blow it out. It will be fine mate, it's a common problem.

real answer: as above, take the plug out and let everything dry out

When my SV650 went down to one cylinder it was the rear coil that had gone.

cheers i thaught that was so just wonderd if it would be ok to go to the shops earlyer i dident in the end , all the extra load cant be that good, as soon as i get sum nice weather il get that pulg out n spary sum wd40 down the hole, cant really do it in the rain, im pretty sure its water because i kinda went throu a big puddle with out reliseing.
guna invest in a fender extender

guna invest in a fender extender

and a liberal coating of waterproof /silicon grease. :lol:

a nice piece of white plumbers ptfe tape wrapped round the lead at the pont where it goes into the plug cap
been caught in many a downpoor and never had a problem since

Medway, can you explain that to me again....re-read it and me being a bit stupid I can't work out what you mean. I need a fix as my bike was running like a dog yet again this morning.....again. Thought the fenda extenda I fitted might have fixed this but no :cry:
