A501 - advice sought
 

Can anyone tell me what the A501 is like between Old St and Gower St/Tottenham Crt Rd (both ways). Is it relatively filterable at rush hour?

Having made a hash of my first attempt at the Holborn route (resulting journey took AGES due to.. er... 'wrong turn'...'wrong turn'... 'wrong turn'... repeat to fade for 3 hrs) I might try what looks like a bigger road with hopefully better signposts... :D

It's an easy one, mostly wide, mostly multiple lanes, mostly no central divider thus readily filterable.

Where are you going from and to, exactly? And what is your first point of contact with the Inner Ring Road, (A501)?

It gets very congested, especially around Kings Cross. I'd personally take the A5201 / A401 (Old Street / Clerkenwell Road / Theobalds Road) route.
