New SV, but a little too standard at the moment

Hi All,

Just put a deposit down on an SK2 that I pick up this Saturday, nice tidy model with a few extras however it's still got the standard can. I'm thinking of getting a Remus Revolution but have a couple of questions...
  • Am I correct in assuming the only advantage of the titanium can over the alloy can is weight?
  • Any suggestions for where to buy?
  • I'm assuming that fitting is straight forward? Cut OE pipe, fit new can?
I'll post some pics once I pick the bike up, the only ones I have at the moment are from the dealers site so a little small.

cheers all

Titanium cans deal a bit better with the elements too... Fitment's pretty easy. And teh Remuses are lovely ;)

As straight forward as cutting the original pipe can be. It's suprisingly thick and be careful not to scratch the swingarm. I was only using a paltry hacksaw so that may have been the problem.

Good exhaust cans can be had for as little as £120 new, hand made in the UK. I liked the idea of a Remus but all I really wanted was more noise so settled for one from these lads. Best thing I ever did and saved £200 on the cost of a remus

CCC every time, only £115 (if you get through ebay) UK made, 1st class in terms of quality and sounds soooo good...

Got to go with Fuel exhausts too, look for them on ebay where they are cheaper to buy

Best sounding cans for the curvey, IMO. I'm sure Anna will let you listen to hers, she's in Bristol. I had a Blueflame and it was never as good as the Scorpion on Monkey's / Anna's curveys.
