On my bike (Speed Triple):

The only mods that I'd like to make are scottoiler (but there's not really anywhere to fit it), rear hugger and removal of the nasty plastic tail.

Not much else is really needed. Even the stock can sounds good, like a (quietish) race can, with lots of snap, crackle and pop on the overrun.
