Pedestrians are lemmings

Pedestrians are lemmings

Just to say pedestrians and lemmings have something in common.

On the way into work today coming up to come on to London bridge myself an three other bikes filtering through (me at the front) not going overly fast when some prat with his ipod decides it’s a great idea to walk straight out into me, I do expect this but this **** didn’t even look so happy that he’s got he’s shades on tying to look cool…

So out he walks causing me to slam on the brakes only was only luck that the guy didn’t go into the back of me…

I followed you through traffic, and your observation skills need a little to be desired! Always expect the un expected :?

Two pedestrians have been killed outside where I work in the last few weeks.

Both crossing six lanes of traffic, instead of using the subway.

I get them stepping out in front of my bike too, but fortunately I normally spot them long before they spot me - and can use this advantage to scare the sh!t out of them. Hopefully that will make them think twice about crossing without looking in the future.

Viney, what bike you got now then? Stewboy, what time are you riding in.?? Probably seeing the pair of you and don't realise ha ha...

I know, London Bridge station.. Between the first set of lights and the major set of lights its play "clip the pedestrian".. I already have my visor up, finger and foot on brake ready.. Im also ready with some one liner to make them look stupid...

If they argue, point out the two crossings either side and ask them if they are just plain lazy or plain dumb? Or do they think they can win a stand up fight with a bike weighing 170kg

They wll come off worse, elbows get stuck out at the ready......

I HATE that small bit of road.

Observation skills are not connected to speed.

You can still filter fast, provided your observation skills are top notch.

I used to filter at quite high speeds, but never had anything happen. My friend on the other side, filters slower than i do, but his observation skills are faily poor - he came a cropper when a car pulled out of a turning on the left, through the gap in the traffic, then turned right... just as he was passing. T-boned him.

Basically the gap in the traffic should have suggested that something was amis - where theres a gap in the traffic, ALWAYS expect it to be filled by another car.

nahh man, the peope at this point really are retarded..

Two busses, walk straight out between them looking left at the on-coming traffic, not for bikers. All the vans stop there, lorries etc, makes it very hard to see whats coming (even looking accross at the path) until they decide to walk in front of you...
