Rubbish websites
A few weeks back, I was looking at the Motrax website - specifically, at the knee sliders section - http://www.motrax.co.uk/Index_pages/...ropplastic.htm.
I noticed that a lot of the graphics on the site are not displayed (under both IE and Firefox). I dropped them a note to tell them and I got a note back within a few hours saying that the website was being redone and it would be fixed. I thought it was slightly odd that the website was being redone in situ, but different people have different standards, and if it was only going to be for a day or so, it would be less of a problem. But after all these weeks, it's still missing graphics and I can see no changes to the website. Does this strike anyone else as an odd way to do business? Frankly, I would usually not buy from a company who seem unable to fix such a simple issue, but am I just being Mr Picky? |

I agree. If they can't be *rsed to fix a site that's clearly broken it doesn't reflect well.
OTOH, one shouldn't be taken in by a slick website either. I once worked for a company called @mraf... great website, cr*ppy employers :-( |
Good to hear I'm not alone then!
Still, at least they replied to me I suppose. I emailed one company to ask if they were open over the easter weekend and if they had various (high-value) things in stock in my size, and they never replied. I never went to the store. I do/did have a tendency to email companies whose websites don't work, and tell them how to fix it if it's something like an HTML/CSS issue, but I think that probably winds them up a bit, so I don't often get a response to those ones. :-) Having said that, one company phoned me up and asked about my comments, which I provided, and then they sent me a load of free stuff, which was a surprise. Anyone got any recommendations for selection of knee-sliders? And I think I need to up my pointless message quota - my post count seems a bit pathetic compared to some people (not that I'm suggesting that some people make lots of pointless posts... I'm digging now, aren't I? |
Add Hein Gericke to the list - their site is ****e
