Combined Tail light and indicators?
I've seen a couple of these "units" on the nerd but don't know who makes them or what they look like when working :? They look like they tidy up the rear really well 8)
Who's fitted them and any chance of some pics? |
I seem to remember that this came on this site sometime ago and the conclusion was cool  but illegal [-X

when these brake don't they override the indicators? i want to get one, but i'll only use it for the tail light bit, and not the indicators...
|
I think it's an mot issue - something about different coloured lights in the same unit
|
My pals got a similar LED unit on his bandit, and it does look pretty cool...
Problem is when he brakes with the indicators on, or if the sun's shinning, the indicators are hard to see and could be easily missed by joe bloggs. Don't know about the legallity of the unit, but my pal left his indicators on as well. |
My mates got them on his TL. I thought the idea was great but in action the indicators, when in use, don't stand out at all. Very worrying in this day of inattentive car drivers. Fit them and then use hand signals

Here's a link to Ebay I found as I was looking at fitting one of these:-

He asked at the dealer if it was legal and they said they would pass it on an MOT as it meets the standard for indication, but some places could be funny about it. I did find a company that sells them a while ago, will have a look for it again. It looks real sweet and cleans up the lines of the bike |
Someday I'll get the hang of posting URLs :D
Here's a related site on whether it'll pass an MOT:- http://www.ukmot.com/bike/1-5.asp |
