Uhoh... should I be expecting something in the post?
Riding home last night, down the motorway cos it was yucky weather, going... shall we say... not quite a legal speed... came under 2 bridges with total of 3 unmarked cars which were parked in suspiciously police like positions...
There was no-one standing on the bridge, but I'm juuuuust a tad worried I'm going to get something drop through the letterbox soon. What do you guys think? Can they speed check from cars on bridges? And as they were pointing towards me, can they get my plate if they had? |
three things - the weather was yucky, yet you were still going too fast...? i'm not going to be judgemental here just point that out!!
and if he was forward facing you ought to be ok and yes they can snap you from a car on a bridge |
I said yucky, not pouring with rain...
It was just black clouds, I'm not gonna go fast if its wet.. |

Guess its too late to say thats where they put the mobile cameras on the motorway [presuming its the M20 here].
And be careful too - theres usually a marked car and at least one unmarked one on the M20 during the day. Bloke on an R6 came hairing past me the other week while I was doing 90ish. Lets just say he left me standing. Saw him pulled up with the police car about a mile later just short of junction 9. |
more than likely to be an ANPR operation

Always keep my eyes out for any cars lookin suspicious in case they might be unmarked ones... dont tend to go too mad on the motorway and tend not to use it unless the weathers bad. Only time I use it is too or from work in bad weather, and they're always busy periods... (and yeah M20 between Ashford and Folkestone) |

Any outstanding issues you have, tax, insurance, Child Maintainence etc - if its outstanding and you drive pass an ANPR, they will pull all this information up and you will get caught for it. Basically if you're anything except totally legal - dont drive. 8) |
