what to do with me old tyres

Ok got me new Z6-

my old tyres aint too bad..!!

but are Z4 's... on bike when I got it 2 years ago !..

they have both got one plug in each from punctures..

little bit squared off from my riding style and motorway miles.

shall i just leave em at the place I get me new ones fitted or are they saleable.

is anyone gonna buy plugged Z4's with wear on them that are a little squared off!??? not even for a track day !..

so .. dump em is it?

Be cheeky and ask them in the shop if they will give you discount on the new set, to leave them, they may decide to put them on a second-hand bike they are selling.

It's probably going to be more hassle to sell em private.

ps our local tip won't take tyres.

I only paying for fitting- I got the Z6 elsewhere- so its just a local fitters.. .... they dont sell bikes.

I will prob keep them - as I dont want them to profit from it !..

and then chuck em meself cos I tight !

Ah, that would be my sentiments too.

ok - heres the dilemma

I have no front paddock stand.!!

fitted to loose wheels is £19 ...

ride in ride out would be £28 ..

Paddock stand is about £30 ... but then I would have it forever.!!

and the local "coem to your house chap" and he would do it all at home- would be £30 .. all in- wheels off wheels on balanced new valvesetc.. and he can call tommorrow..

what you think>????

Carsick 18-05-06 03:26 PM

The place near me won't touch bikes but will happily lend anybody the tools to take the wheels off and put them back on.
