North/South ride - For the Southerners... IMPORTANT
My original plan was to go to Cherwell Valley Services (J10, M40) meet people there, then go up the A43 to Rothersthorpe (J15A, M1) to make another pick up, and then head North up the M1, making another stop at Woodall Service to pick up anybody else.
As a number of people have dropped out, and Fizz is making a day of it with a less frantic evening ride, I need to know if anybody was still planning to meet at any of these points. If not, I'll do similar to Fizz and leave earlier and take a more "scenic" route. So, may I ask if you can once again.... 1) Confirm that you are still going 2) If you need an RV point, and at what sort of time.... I'm quite happy to see you all up there, but if you want to meet before hand that's fine too... Also On Sunday we will be making our way home via the Peak District National Park. Some of the Northern lads are doing their own thing, but I'm heading for the Cat & Fiddle, the route will be something like: Best possible to Holmfirth A6024/A628/B6105 to Glossop A57 (Snake Pass) to Ladybower Reservoir B6013 to the A625 A625 to Whalley Bridge B5470 to Rainow A537 to the "Cat" and on into Buxton A6 to Bakewell B5056 to Ible A5012 to Matlock Bath At this point we can decide which way to go, depending on the weather etc. I'll probably pick up the A5 and take that down to Towcester, then take the A413 home. Let me know you thoughts.... . |
