eye for an eye - justice for bikers?

since moving to dubai, i have learned that if you are deemed to be at fault in any kind of accident, eg road traffic accident, then for every day the injured party spends in hospital, the culprit has to spend the equivalent time in prison. this is apart from any other punishment which might be given to the wrong-doer.

sounds like a law which could/should be applied to the SMIDSY brigade. It also applies for other accidents. eg if someone gets fouled and injured in a football match, the fouler goes down for as long as the foul-ee spends in hospital.

just thought i'd share

Cool. What about time rehabilitating at home there after? Just thinking of a Rob, who is still suffering after his accident some 3 years or more ago.

I like that idea, seems fair to me.

And Will, you over there already? WOW, talk about not hanging about.

Hope it all works out well for you guys.

Not quite, they'll just be waiting three years to get into prison, then be kicked out in three days to make way for the next inmate!
