We'd have loved this one, if it weren't for the fact that we're off to France on Thursday and need the weekend to get sorted out.

I told my boss last week that I was leaving Rugby at lunchtime today. Got to go back to Preston, do some grocery shopping with the Mem Sahib, set the sat nav for the girlies to find their way upto Askrigg, and sod off up there on the SV. Whilst they are unpacking at cosy cottage (little cottage in the village we have use of) I will then drop down via the nice roads to partake of a little light refreshment.

Now I just hope the M6 is not a repeat of the nightmare of last Friday, or last night when a truck jackknifed 200yds in front of me, overturned and dropped a full load blocking 3 lanes, fortunately it happened at the m58/m6 interchange and I was able to pull off, go round the roundabout and pull back on. 10 yds further on and I would have had to reverse off the motorway.

I hate motorways on Fridays. I normally refuse to come down here (Rugby) on them. But the little hitler who is reponsible for approving my monthly slap in the face is getting bolshy. If he can come down from Lincoln why shouldnt I simply trot down the M6.
