2000 SVS Mirror bolts
 

Hi guys,

I attempted to put Chewys mirror extenders on last night and had a slight problem)I must be the only one!) When you take the mirror off the bike it has two brass bolt type things into which the allen bolts screw into. These have come out of the mirror and are now f***ed so will not go back in. I have contact my local dealer and thewy say that the bolts are part of the mirror and are not sold separately. Does anyone have some spare that I can buy or any ideas where to get new ones?

Please help as I have one mirror extender fitted and one not!!!

Could our magic friend Loctite fix it if you can get the studs back in at all?

Loctit would hold it in but the problem is getting it back in.The allen head has rounded off completely! If I grip ther thread with pliers and wind it in then the thread will be knackered so I wouldnt be able to tighten up the other end. think

I'm going to have to make something up!!!

Can you do the trick with two nuts locked against each other to wind it in?
