De-snorkeled K&N better then a BMC race RS filter???

Read on SVRider that a guy has put a de-snorkled K&N filter on his curvy and thinks its better then the BMC race RS he has 8)

Any one tried it? :?

I did it and it needed about the same main jets as a BMC, just a bit of aggro to cut it neatly as they tend to crack if your not careful

Throttlecrazed did it, I think, and found it less good for mids (his bike is equipped with a pair of lambda sensors). IIRC DonnieJ said much the same.
