Recommend a Camcorder
 

We had a JVC model which died at the end of its warranty - cr*p. Was a tiny little thing which was handy size wise though. Just wondering if anyone has shortlisted any brands/models lately or purchased a particular model??

get a good digi cam.. they do recording with sound as well.!

best of both worlds.

Yeah - could be an option too depending on the length of recording time is available and pic quality ect as more likely to put clips on my PC this way and use. Where as we rarely sit and watch video's nowdays.

my new cam is a Kodak easyshare Z740..superb...

loads of special bits for special stuff but also point and press..

10x optical zoom is awesome...

and there is loads andl oads of video (with sound) at excellent quality - especially if you have a 1 gig mem SD card in...

5meg which is varaible down to 1.8

just checked and vid is an hours worth !! do you need longer than that .> if u gonna be uploading them to a pc .. of course you can get more SD cards and ave them to that ..

I arent technical- this cam is good and easy to use.. but theres loads on the market.

£149 it was.. price matched at PC world.

I took some on way home fromnorth south of my nephews in leeds..
came home - banged them on a cd and sent to my mum and dad to watch in their DVD player..


All my pics on north south were taken with this cam..


only downside - you cant zoom in and out during a video..!! suppose thats the compromise for multi use !

thanks Quiff - i reckon you are right there. Realistically its much more useful so I will look into this as a better option. Am heading away this weekend so will see if I can pick something up duty free at the airport. Just out of interest - have you mounted it to the bike yet?
